VCTF Seminar Series. Industrial demand response: Implementation, types and contractual considerations

Wednesday, 27 May 2020 - 11:00am to 12:00pm

Part 1. Demand response: It’s all in the process

The people on the ground are key to implementing demand response and helping keep your business energy costs down. But, it can be hard to know where to start. From common barriers to strategies, Alex Leemon (Demand Response Lead, Flow Power) will give you some tips to effectively implement demand response for your business.

Part 2. Getting demand response agreements right

Demand response is one of the biggest levers that industrial energy users can pull to reduce their cost of electricity. But getting demand response right is complex as it often involves interrupting your production process, which has broader operational, revenue, and supply chain implications. Marija Petkovic (Managing Director, Energy Synapse) will give an overview of different types of demand response and how industrials can access them to achieve cost reductions while managing business risks. We will talk through the key contractual considerations when entering into demand response agreements and the common pitfalls to avoid.
